Custocare was honored to be invited by South East Bangkok University (SBU) to send Khun Paeng Tanyalak Techapeompol, Managing Director (MD) of Custocare Co., Ltd., as a speaker teaching Module 4: Accounting RPA & Automation in the "AI & Cloud Accounting Cohort 1" course on Saturday, 22 August 2026. The course is supported by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI). The content covered RPA Bot File and Document, Automation Tools with Live Demo, Automation Workflow Design, Use Case and Workshop, and in-depth consulting on participants' own Automation projects. (See the post about this event)

The course exists because accounting is one of the functions with the most repetitive work, and one of the clearest places in an organization where AI and RPA can help, from sorting documents and reconciling accounts to summarizing reports that must be repeated every accounting cycle.

What Module 4 Covered

Module 4 was divided into 5 main topics: RPA Bot File and Document, Automation Tools with Live Demo, Automation Workflow Design, Use Cases and Workshop, and Automation Project Consults. Participants worked hands-on throughout the day rather than only listening to theory.

It started with an understanding of how an RPA bot handles accounting files and documents, followed by a live demonstration of automation tools so participants could see them working for real. It then moved on to designing Workflow Automation that each person can adapt to their own work, and closed with a workshop in which participants brought real work cases for one-on-one consultation.

Who the AI & Cloud Accounting Cohort 1 Course Is For

The course is designed for accountants, freelance bookkeepers and SME business owners who handle their own accounting, with support from the Office of the Permanent Secretary of MHESI and South East Bangkok University.

What the participants have in common is accounting work that repeats every month, such as account reconciliation, document sorting and report summarizing. This is work where AI and RPA can take over the routine parts while people stay in charge of the decisions that need judgment.

Why Accounting Is a Good Place to Start with RPA

Accounting work has steps that repeat in the same pattern every accounting cycle, so automation rules are easier to set up than in other functions and results show up quickly. In the example Khun Paeng taught in Module 4, participants start with an RPA bot that handles document files first, because that work has the clearest repeating pattern, and then expand to more complex workflows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which course is Module 4: Accounting RPA & Automation part of? It is Module 4 of the "AI & Cloud Accounting Cohort 1" course, organized by South East Bangkok University together with the Office of the Permanent Secretary of MHESI.

Who taught this module? Khun Paeng Tanyalak Techapeompol, Managing Director (MD) of Custocare, taught as the speaker on Saturday, 22 August 2026.

How do RPA and AI differ in accounting work? RPA (Robotic Process Automation) works by rules set in advance, for example extracting data from a file in the same format every time. AI adds the ability to make decisions on data with no fixed format, for example reading receipts that look different from shop to shop.

Where should an SME start with RPA in accounting? Start with work that repeats often and has a clear pattern, such as monthly document sorting or bank reconciliation, before expanding to more complex work.

Does Custocare consult on accounting Automation projects for other businesses? Yes. Custocare provides consulting on AI and Workflow Automation for SMEs and larger organizations, through training and direct consulting projects.
